SHIP WELDER (TITP)

Qualifications:

• At least a High School Graduate.
• Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience in semi-automatic welding.
• Must provide a Certificate of Employment (COE) issued not later than 2021.
• Physically and mentally fit to work abroad.
• Medically fit for overseas employment.
• Ability to read welding drawings and perform accurate, high-quality welds.
• Willing to work in Japan under the Technical Intern Training Program (TITP).

Responsibilities:

• Perform semi-automatic welding on ship structures, steel plates, and metal components.
• Read and interpret welding symbols, technical drawings, and fabrication plans.
• Prepare metal materials by cleaning, cutting, fitting, and positioning prior to welding.
• Inspect welds for quality and ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
• Operate and maintain welding machines, tools, and equipment.
• Follow workplace safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Assist with other fabrication and shipbuilding tasks as required.
