Fone Haus Limited, Papua New Guinea’s leading retailer and distributor of mobile phones and accessories, is seeking an experienced Senior Store Manager to lead the daily operations of a high-performing retail store. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, delivering exceptional customer service, managing store personnel, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring compliance with company policies and operational standards. This role requires a results-oriented retail leader with strong people management and business development skills.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Marketing, Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Store Manager, Senior Store Manager, or in a similar retail leadership position with a reputable company.
• Experience in the consumer electronics, mobile phone, telecommunications, or retail industry is highly preferred.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and team management skills.
• Excellent knowledge of retail operations, sales management, merchandising, inventory control, and customer service.
• Experience using retail point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory management software.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong customer and team relationships.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven retail environment.

Responsibilities: 

• Manage the overall day-to-day operations of the retail store to ensure efficient and profitable performance.
• Achieve and exceed sales targets, revenue goals, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Lead, coach, motivate, and develop store supervisors, sales associates, and support staff to deliver outstanding customer service.
• Monitor sales performance, analyze business trends, and implement strategies to improve store profitability.
• Ensure excellent customer service by promptly resolving customer inquiries, complaints, and after-sales concerns.
• Oversee inventory management, stock replenishment, stock counts, and loss prevention activities.
• Ensure visual merchandising and product displays meet company standards and promotional requirements.
• Monitor cash handling, banking procedures, and store financial controls to ensure accuracy and accountability.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational and sales reports for management.
• Coordinate with warehouse, logistics, and procurement teams to ensure timely product availability.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and operational procedures.
• Support recruitment, training, performance management, and staff scheduling to ensure adequate store coverage.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and enhance the overall customer experience.
• Perform other management duties assigned by senior leadership.
