Fone Haus Limited, Papua New Guinea’s leading retailer and distributor of mobile phones and accessories, is seeking an experienced Retail Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple retail stores. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales performance, ensuring operational excellence, managing store teams, maintaining inventory accuracy, and delivering exceptional customer service. This role requires a dynamic leader with strong retail management experience and the ability to implement strategies that support business growth and operational efficiency.

Retail Operations Manager

Qualifications:

• Filipino applicants only.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Marketing, Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of work experience in the position being applied for with a reputable company.
• Proven experience managing retail operations, preferably in the consumer electronics, telecommunications, or retail industry.
• Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
• Excellent knowledge of retail operations, sales management, inventory control, merchandising, and customer service.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and retail point-of-sale (POS) and inventory management systems.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven retail environment.
• Must possess a passport valid for at least two (2) years.

Responsibilities: 

• Oversee the daily operations of retail stores to ensure efficient, profitable, and customer-focused performance.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to achieve sales targets, improve productivity, and maximize profitability.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze sales reports, and implement action plans to improve business performance.
• Lead, supervise, coach, and develop store managers and retail staff to achieve operational and customer service excellence.
• Ensure consistent implementation of company policies, operational procedures, and visual merchandising standards.
• Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, and loss prevention activities to maintain product availability and minimize shrinkage.
• Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure timely product distribution to retail outlets.
• Monitor cash handling procedures, financial controls, and store compliance with company policies.
• Resolve customer concerns professionally and promote a high standard of customer satisfaction.
• Prepare operational reports, sales forecasts, budgets, and performance evaluations for senior management.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices across retail operations.
• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations and company operational standards.
• Perform other management responsibilities assigned by senior leadership.
