MUSLIM CARPENTER / ASSEMBLER (Furniture)

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience is required.
• Candidates must be at least a high school graduate.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.
• Muslim applicants are required for this position.
• Vocational training or apprenticeship in carpentry is preferred.
• Proficiency in using carpentry tools, including saws, drills, hammers, and measuring devices.
• Basic mathematics skills for accurately measuring, calculating, and determining dimensions.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and diagrams.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality of workmanship.
• Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Knowledge of furniture assembly, carpentry techniques, fittings, fasteners, and hardware installation.
• Ability to perform on-site adjustments, modifications, and minor repairs.
• Strong problem-solving abilities when dealing with fitting, alignment, measurement, or assembly issues.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift and handle heavy materials and furniture components.
• Ability to work in different work environments and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Reliable, hardworking, disciplined, and safety-conscious.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively with supervisors and other team members.

Responsibilities:

• Assemble furniture and related components according to technical drawings, specifications, and assembly instructions.
• Perform carpentry and furniture assembly work using appropriate hand tools and power tools.
• Accurately measure, mark, cut, drill, shape, and join wood and other furniture materials.
• Use carpentry tools such as saws, drills, hammers, screwdrivers, measuring devices, and other workshop equipment safely and effectively.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, diagrams, and furniture assembly plans.
• Verify measurements, dimensions, alignment, and positioning before and during assembly.
• Install hinges, handles, brackets, fasteners, fittings, hardware, and other furniture components.
• Ensure assembled furniture is stable, properly aligned, functional, and visually presentable.
• Inspect materials and components for defects, damage, or incorrect dimensions before assembly.
• Perform adjustments, modifications, and minor repairs when necessary to achieve proper fit and finish.
• Identify and resolve assembly problems and make appropriate on-site adjustments.
• Follow established work procedures, measurements, quality standards, and production instructions.
• Maintain accuracy and consistency when working on multiple furniture units or components.
• Handle and move furniture materials and assembled products safely.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas, tools, and equipment.
• Follow workplace safety procedures when using machinery, hand tools, and power tools.
• Minimize material waste through accurate measurement, cutting, and proper handling.
• Coordinate with supervisors and other workers to complete furniture assembly tasks efficiently.
• Report damaged materials, defective components, equipment problems, or other work issues to the supervisor.
• Perform other carpentry, furniture assembly, installation, and repair duties assigned by management.
