Thomas Mining SARL is seeking a Sample Preparation Aide to assist in the preparation of geological samples for laboratory analysis. The role involves handling raw materials, operating basic sample preparation equipment, and ensuring accurate labeling and documentation in a mining laboratory environment.

SAMPLE PREPARATION AIDE

Qualifications:

• Male, 25–40 years old.
• At least production or industrial work experience is preferred.
• Willingness to learn how to operate equipment such as drying ovens, crushers, and pulverizers.
• Physically fit and able to work in a high-dust industrial environment.
• Basic attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Safety-conscious and responsible in handling materials and equipment.
• Able to work in a team-oriented laboratory or production setting.
• Willing to work in Congo and comply with company safety and operational standards.

Responsibilities:

• Unpack, sort, and prepare geological samples for processing and analysis.
• Dry, crush, weigh, and pulverize geological materials according to standard procedures.
• Operate or assist in operating sample preparation equipment such as drying ovens, crushers, mills, and pulverizers.
• Accurately label, weigh, and log all incoming samples to ensure proper tracking and documentation.
• Assist in maintaining accurate sample records and production logs.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of samples to prevent contamination or mix-ups.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sample preparation work area.
• Follow all laboratory safety procedures, especially in high-dust environments.
• Use required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Assist technicians and supervisors with additional sample preparation tasks as needed.
