Rigger

Qualifications:

• Qualified, certified, and experienced in rigging and lifting operations.
• Knowledge of approved lift plans, rigging techniques, and safe lifting procedures.
• Familiarity with lifting equipment, rigging hardware, and load-handling practices.
• Ability to inspect and identify defects in rigging equipment.
• Strong understanding of workplace safety regulations and industry standards.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a lifting team.
• Physically fit and capable of working in demanding construction and industrial environments.
• Committed to safe work practices and quality performance.

Responsibilities:

• Perform rigging and lifting activities in accordance with approved lift plans and project requirements.
• Inspect and prepare lifting gear, slings, shackles, hooks, and other rigging equipment before use.
• Safely attach, secure, and guide loads during lifting, moving, and positioning operations.
• Coordinate with crane operators, supervisors, and lifting teams to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Verify load weights, lifting points, and rigging configurations before commencing lifting activities.
• Conduct pre-use inspections and report defective or damaged lifting equipment.
• Ensure compliance with workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Maintain rigging equipment in good working condition and ensure proper storage after use.
• Follow project procedures and applicable industry standards for all lifting operations.
• Participate in toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and risk assessments as required.
