Hyundai Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd. (HDEC) is seeking an experienced QC RTR Inspector for an overseas employment opportunity in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for quality control inspection and testing of industrial project materials, equipment, systems, piping, and facilities during construction and pre-commissioning activities.
Candidates should have substantial experience in quality control inspection, particularly within industrial, oil and gas, or petrochemical projects. Aramco experience is preferred, and applicants must have a valid Future Pipe Industries (FPI) Certificate.
QC RTR Inspector
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, University Degree, or Diploma in a relevant field.
- Minimum 6 years of direct work experience in the applicable engineering discipline for candidates with a high school diploma.
- At least 3 years of direct experience performing QC inspection and testing related to the project scope of work.
- Experience in industrial, oil and gas, petrochemical, or similar projects is required.
- Direct experience in QC inspection and testing of industrial project materials, equipment, systems, and facilities during construction and pre-commissioning.
- Thorough knowledge of recognized engineering codes, standards, and piping requirements.
- Knowledge of applicable standards such as ASTM, API, IEC, NEMA, UL, FM, NFPA, and ASME BPVC, or equivalent recognized standards.
- Aramco experience is preferred.
- Must have a valid Future Pipe Industries (FPI) Certificate.
- Strong knowledge of quality control procedures, inspection methods, and testing requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, drawings, and quality documents.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify quality issues.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Must be able to work effectively in a construction and industrial project environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform quality control inspections of industrial project materials, equipment, systems, and facilities.
- Conduct inspection and testing activities during construction and pre-commissioning phases.
- Inspect RTR (Reinforced Thermosetting Resin) piping and related components according to approved specifications and standards.
- Verify materials and equipment against approved drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
- Review inspection and testing documentation for compliance with project requirements.
- Identify non-conforming materials, workmanship, and installation activities.
- Monitor corrective actions and verify that identified quality issues are properly resolved.
- Ensure piping-related work complies with applicable engineering codes and standards.
- Coordinate inspection activities with construction, engineering, commissioning, and other project teams.
- Maintain accurate inspection records, reports, checklists, and quality documentation.
- Support testing and commissioning activities as required.
- Ensure all inspection activities are performed in accordance with approved procedures and applicable safety requirements.
- Apply recognized international codes and standards relevant to the scope of work.
- Perform other QC inspection duties related to the project as assigned.
