Production Supervisor – Thermoforming
Qualifications:
- Relevant experience as a Production Supervisor, Thermoforming Supervisor, Thermoforming Machine Operator, Senior Machine Operator, or Production Team Leader is preferred.
- Strong experience in thermoforming, plastic manufacturing, packaging, or related production operations.
- Knowledge of thermoforming processes, machinery, raw materials, and production procedures.
- Understanding of machine setup, temperature control, pressure settings, cycle times, and production parameters.
- Ability to monitor production quality and identify thermoforming defects.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting of thermoforming equipment.
- Ability to supervise, train, and coordinate production personnel.
- Knowledge of production planning, machine efficiency, productivity, and waste reduction.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Good leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
- Willingness to work shifts and overtime when required.
- Safety-conscious and committed to maintaining a clean and organized production environment.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily thermoforming production operations and ensure production schedules and targets are achieved.
- Coordinate and assign duties to thermoforming machine operators and production workers.
- Monitor thermoforming machines to ensure efficient and continuous production.
- Ensure machines are properly set up, calibrated, and operated according to production requirements.
- Monitor machine settings, temperature, pressure, cycle time, speed, forming conditions, and other operating parameters.
- Ensure the correct raw materials are prepared, loaded, and used according to production specifications.
- Monitor the thermoforming process and identify production problems or abnormal machine conditions.
- Inspect finished products for dimensional accuracy, appearance, forming quality, and other specified requirements.
- Identify defects such as deformation, cracks, uneven thickness, poor forming, trimming defects, or other quality non-conformities.
- Coordinate with maintenance personnel regarding machine breakdowns, technical issues, and preventive maintenance.
- Monitor production output, machine efficiency, downtime, material consumption, and production waste.
- Implement measures to reduce material waste and improve machine productivity.
- Ensure production orders are completed according to specifications, schedules, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with production planning, warehouse, quality control, maintenance, and other departments.
- Monitor the availability of raw materials, packaging materials, and other production requirements.
- Maintain accurate production records, shift reports, machine logs, quality reports, and other required documentation.
- Monitor employee attendance, productivity, performance, and compliance with company procedures.
- Train and guide operators regarding machine operation, production procedures, quality requirements, and safety practices.
- Ensure finished thermoformed products are properly handled, inspected, packed, and transferred to the appropriate area.
- Maintain cleanliness and good housekeeping in the thermoforming production area.
- Ensure compliance with company quality, health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Conduct proper shift handovers and communicate production issues to supervisors and management.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency, product quality, and equipment reliability.
- Perform other production and supervisory duties as assigned.
