Production Supervisor – Rewinding Section

Qualifications:

• Relevant experience as a Production Supervisor, Rewinding Supervisor, Slitting Supervisor, Converting Supervisor, or Senior Rewinding Machine Operator is preferred.
• Strong experience in rewinding, slitting, converting, flexible packaging, film, paper, plastic, or related manufacturing operations.
• Knowledge of rewinding machine operation, setup, and production processes.
• Understanding of roll handling, web tension, alignment, cutting, slitting, and winding processes.
• Ability to monitor machine performance and identify operational problems.
• Knowledge of production quality control and inspection procedures.
• Ability to supervise, train, and coordinate production personnel.
• Strong understanding of production targets, machine efficiency, downtime, and waste control.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
• Willingness to work shifts and overtime when required.
• Safety-conscious and committed to maintaining a clean and organized production environment.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily production activities in the rewinding section and ensure production schedules are followed.
• Plan and assign work to rewinding machine operators and production personnel.
• Monitor rewinding machines to ensure efficient and continuous production.
• Ensure machines are properly set up and operated according to production requirements.
• Monitor machine settings, speed, tension, alignment, roll specifications, and other operating parameters.
• Check raw materials and ensure the correct materials are used according to production orders.
• Monitor the rewinding, slitting, cutting, and roll-handling processes as applicable.
• Inspect finished rolls and products to ensure they meet required quality specifications.
• Identify defects such as incorrect dimensions, poor winding, wrinkles, telescoping, misalignment, damaged edges, or other production issues.
• Coordinate with maintenance personnel regarding machine breakdowns, equipment faults, and required repairs.
• Monitor production output, machine efficiency, downtime, material consumption, and production waste.
• Implement measures to reduce material wastage and improve production efficiency.
• Ensure production orders are completed according to required specifications and deadlines.
• Coordinate with production planning, warehouse, quality control, maintenance, and other departments.
• Ensure adequate availability of raw materials, cores, packaging materials, and other production supplies.
• Maintain accurate production records, shift reports, machine logs, quality records, and other required documentation.
• Monitor employee attendance, productivity, work performance, and compliance with company procedures.
• Train and guide machine operators and production workers on proper operating procedures and safety practices.
• Ensure proper handling, labeling, packaging, and storage of finished rolls.
• Maintain cleanliness and good housekeeping in the rewinding and production areas.
• Ensure compliance with company quality, health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Conduct proper shift handovers and communicate production issues and requirements to the next shift.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, productivity enhancement, and waste reduction.
• Perform other production and supervisory duties as assigned.
