Production Foreman

Qualifications:

• Technical or vocational training is an advantage.
• Minimum of 35 years of experience in a supervisory or lead operator role in manufacturing.
• Experience in FMCG or food/protein processing industry is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations (HACCP, GMP, etc.).
• Familiarity with production machinery and automated systems.
• Experience using production or warehouse systems (e.g., ERP, MES) is an advantage.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Strong organizational and decision-making skills.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Production Supervision & Team Management:
  • Lead, supervise, and motivate production teams on the shop floor.
  • Assign tasks and monitor team performance to meet production targets and quality standards.
  • Train new operators and ensure adherence to operational procedures and safety protocols.
  • Act as the first point of contact for employee concerns and shift-related issues.
• Operations & Equipment Management:
  • Ensure production lines and machines operate efficiently.
  • Troubleshoot basic equipment issues and coordinate with maintenance teams for resolution.
  • Work closely with quality and maintenance departments to address production concerns.
  • Monitor material usage and ensure availability of raw materials and packaging supplies.
  • Maintain effective communication with other shifts and departments for seamless operations.
• Health, Safety & Compliance:
  • Promote a strong safety culture and enforce health and safety policies.
  • Report incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; assist in investigations when required.
  • Conduct toolbox talks and ensure all team members follow safe work practices.
• Reporting & Administration:
  • Prepare and maintain accurate shift reports, production logs, and incident reports.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as output, yield, downtime, and waste.
  • Escalate performance variances and recommend process improvements.
• Quality & Food Safety:
  • Ensure compliance with company SOPs, GMP, and HACCP standards.
  • Conduct in-process quality checks and report any non-conformances.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in accordance with food safety and environmental standards.
