QPAMS Pty Ltd Australia, in partnership with Omanfil, is urgently hiring a skilled and qualified Pressure Welder to join their growing team in Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for high-quality welding of pressure pipes and related structural components in compliance with strict industry and safety standards.

Pressure Welder

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Pressure Welder / Pressure Pipe Welder
• Experience welding carbon steel pressure pipes (1/2” to 6” diameter)
• Experience welding stainless steel pressure pipes (1” to 4” diameter)
• Skilled in 6G pipe welding position
• Proficient in GTAW / TIG welding for root and fill passes
• Proficient in MMAW / SMAW (Stick welding) for pressure pipe welding
• Experience in GMAW / MIG welding for structural carbon steel applications
• Ability to pass 2” and 4” weld test in 6G position
• With valid welding certificates and qualifications
• Able to read and interpret WPS and isometric drawings
• Knowledge of pre-heat and inter-pass temperature control is an advantage
• Familiarity with PWHT and NDT methods such as RT, UT, PT, and MT is an advantage

Responsibilities:

• Perform high-standard welding of pressure pipes and related steel components
• Execute welding works in accordance with approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)
• Carry out pipe welding using 6G position techniques
• Perform root, fill, and cap passes on pressure piping systems
• Ensure weld quality meets project and industry standards
• Read and interpret isometric drawings and welding instructions
• Follow safety procedures and maintain clean and safe working practices
• Coordinate with supervisors and QA/QC teams for inspection and testing requirements
