TRUCK DRIVER
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience as a truck driver.
- Experience in the chemical, oil and gas, logistics, or related industries is required.
- Previous work experience in Gulf countries is preferred.
- Valid heavy vehicle driving license appropriate for truck operations.
- Good knowledge of road safety regulations, transportation procedures, and defensive driving practices.
- Familiarity with handling and transporting chemical or industrial products is an advantage.
- Ability to conduct routine vehicle inspections and identify mechanical issues.
- Physically fit and capable of loading, unloading, and securing cargo when necessary.
- Strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, and professionalism.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and comply with company safety requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Operate company trucks safely and efficiently to transport chemical products, materials, and equipment to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safe operating conditions.
- Ensure cargo is properly loaded, secured, and transported according to safety regulations and company procedures.
- Follow assigned delivery schedules, routes, and transportation instructions.
- Comply with traffic laws, transportation regulations, and company safety policies.
- Monitor vehicle performance and promptly report mechanical defects, accidents, or maintenance requirements.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, trip logs, fuel consumption reports, and transportation documents.
- Follow proper handling procedures when transporting chemical or hazardous materials, when applicable.
- Coordinate with dispatchers, supervisors, warehouse personnel, and customers regarding delivery schedules and cargo status.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper condition of assigned vehicles.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies, breakdowns, and unexpected road situations.
- Ensure safe driving practices at all times while protecting company assets, cargo, and public safety.
- Support company operations by providing reliable and professional transportation services.
