CAREWORKER (SSW)
Qualifications:
- Must be a JLPT N4 passer or possess an A2 Japanese language certification.
- Good Japanese conversational skills are required.
- Must have passed the Nursing Care Skills Evaluation Test (Prometric Skills Test).
- Former Technical Intern Trainees (TITP) in the caregiving sector are welcome to apply.
- Experience in caregiving, elderly care, healthcare, or related services is an advantage.
- Compassionate, patient, and committed to providing quality care.
- Physically fit and capable of assisting elderly or disabled individuals with daily activities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Willing to adapt to Japanese work culture, caregiving standards, and workplace practices.
Responsibilities:
- Provide daily care and assistance to elderly residents and patients in nursing homes, care facilities, or healthcare institutions.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and mobility support.
- Monitor residents’ physical conditions and report any changes to supervisors or healthcare staff.
- Support meal preparation, feeding assistance, and dietary requirements as needed.
- Assist with transferring, walking, and mobility activities while ensuring patient safety.
- Maintain cleanliness, comfort, and safety within residents’ living environments.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
- Record care activities and maintain accurate documentation according to facility standards.
- Follow infection control procedures, safety protocols, and caregiving guidelines.
- Collaborate effectively with nurses, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in training programs and continuously improve caregiving skills and Japanese language proficiency.
- Promote the dignity, independence, and well-being of residents through compassionate care.
