Modular Home Installer (Portable Building Builder)

Qualifications:

• At least 2–3 years’ experience in construction, building or a related trade (preferred).
• At least high-school graduate or ALS certified
• Steel welding experience.
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools and workshop machinery.
• Good understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
• Ability to follow plans, instructions and measurements accurately.
• Physically fit and capable of lifting up to 25 kilograms.
• Valid 4-wheel driver’s license
• Reliable, honest and able to work as part of a team, with good communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently when required.
• Good spoken and written English communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Work as part of a team to complete portable building construction projects within required timeframes.
• Interpret plans, specifications and drawings to determine materials, dimensions and installation procedures.
• Assist in the assembly of portable buildings using EPS insulated panel systems and steel framing.
• Weld, assemble and secure steel frames in accordance with project specifications.
• Install flooring systems, including plywood floors and structural supports.
• Fit windows, doors, internal walls, partitions and exterior panels.
• Measure, cut, prepare and fix building materials using hand tools and power tools.
• Construct and install structural components such as walls, floors, external stairs, panel systems and partitions using nails, screws, bolts and brackets.
• Operate workshop equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.
• Carry out finishing work and final quality checks before buildings are transported from the warehouse.
• Load, move and position building materials as required, and assist with unloading containers.
• Operate company vehicles to move materials and equipment between sites and deliver completed units to customers when required.
• Maintain a clean, safe and tidy work area in accordance with health and safety procedures.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and comply with company construction standards.
• Inspect buildings for defects prior to delivery and report any problems, breakages or required repairs promptly.

Requirements:

• Must have a valid passport for more than 3 years
• Employment certificates
• NBI clearance valid for at least 1 year with “no derogatory / no record on file” remarks
• PEOS certificate
