Structural Rigger
Qualifications:
- Must have at least 3 years of verifiable experience as a Structural Rigger or in the same position being applied for.
- Strong practical knowledge of rigging, lifting, securing, and positioning structural components.
- Ability to safely use common rigging equipment and lifting accessories.
- Good understanding of workplace health and safety procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe working practices.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a construction or structural installation team.
- Must have strong English communication skills.
- Willing to take IELTS or PTE as required for employment or migration purposes.
- Physically fit and capable of performing demanding rigging and construction duties.
- Reliable, hardworking, safety-conscious, and able to follow instructions from supervisors.
Responsibilities:
- Perform rigging activities for structural steel, beams, frames, equipment, and other heavy components.
- Prepare loads for lifting by selecting and attaching appropriate slings, shackles, chains, lifting beams, and other rigging equipment.
- Safely connect and secure loads for lifting, transportation, and positioning.
- Guide and position structural components accurately during lifting and installation activities.
- Work closely with crane operators, supervisors, steelworkers, welders, and other construction personnel.
- Inspect rigging equipment before use and report damaged or defective equipment.
- Ensure loads are properly balanced, secured, and within the safe working limits of lifting equipment.
- Follow approved lifting plans, work procedures, site instructions, and safety requirements.
- Assist in the erection, alignment, and positioning of structural steel and related components.
- Use appropriate hand tools and rigging equipment safely and correctly.
- Communicate clearly with crane operators and site personnel during lifting operations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow workplace health and safety procedures.
- Observe safe working practices when working at heights, around heavy equipment, and in active construction areas.
- Perform other rigging and structural installation duties as assigned by the supervisor.
