Universal Cold Store Company is seeking a qualified PLC Technician – Poultry Processing Plant to maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize programmable logic controller (PLC) systems and industrial automation equipment used in poultry processing operations. The successful candidate will ensure continuous production by maintaining automated processing lines while complying with food safety, quality, and workplace safety standards.

PLC Technician – Poultry Processing Plant

Qualifications:

  • Male applicants only.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience as a PLC Technician or Industrial Automation Technician.
  • Technical knowledge and practical experience related to PLC systems, industrial automation, and electrical maintenance.
  • Experience in poultry processing plants, poultry production, feed mills, hatcheries, food manufacturing, or industrial maintenance is preferred.
  • Knowledge of PLC systems, electrical controls, instrumentation, motors, sensors, and automated production equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, PLC logic, wiring schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair PLC-controlled equipment and automation systems used in the poultry processing plant.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, conveyors, motors, sensors, control panels, VFDs, actuators, and electrical systems.
  • Diagnose PLC, electrical, instrumentation, and automation faults using appropriate testing and diagnostic equipment.
  • Monitor and maintain automated processing systems to ensure maximum equipment reliability and production efficiency.
  • Read and interpret PLC programs, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Assist in modifying, testing, and optimizing PLC programs and automation systems when required.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and minimize production downtime.
  • Perform routine inspections and calibration of sensors, control devices, and automation components.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, spare parts usage, and equipment history.
  • Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to schedule repairs and preventive maintenance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with company standard operating procedures (SOPs), food safety regulations, workplace safety standards, and preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Perform other automation and maintenance duties assigned by management.
