Daeah Engineering & Construction Co. Ltd is seeking an experienced Piping Spool Controller to manage and monitor the fabrication, delivery, storage, issuance, and installation status of piping spools for construction projects in Mozambique. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate spool tracking records, coordinating with project teams, and supporting efficient piping construction planning and execution.
PIPING SPOOL CONTROLLER
Qualifications:
- Male applicants are preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience as a Piping Spool Controller, Material Controller, Document Controller, or similar role in piping/construction projects.
- No minimum educational attainment is required for this position.
- Strong knowledge of piping spool fabrication, tracking processes, and construction workflows.
- Ability to read and interpret piping isometric drawings, spool drawings, and technical documents.
- Experience with databases, spreadsheets, and project tracking systems is an advantage.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and coordination abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control the fabrication, delivery, storage, issuance, and installation status of piping spools.
- Maintain accurate spool tracking records, databases, and progress reports throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review piping isometric drawings, spool drawings, and material status reports to support construction planning.
- Coordinate with fabrication teams, warehouse personnel, logistics, piping supervisors, and engineers to ensure timely spool availability.
- Track spool status from fabrication through installation and report any delays or discrepancies.
- Verify spool identification, tagging, and documentation before delivery and installation.
- Prepare daily and weekly spool progress reports for project monitoring.
- Maintain proper documentation of spool movements, installation status, and outstanding activities.
- Support construction teams by providing updated spool information and material status.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, quality requirements, and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards.
