Daeah Engineering & Construction Co. Ltd is seeking an experienced Piping Inspector to support piping construction activities for projects in Mozambique. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting piping installations, verifying compliance with approved drawings and specifications, reviewing quality documentation, and ensuring that all piping works meet project requirements, industry standards, and quality expectations.

Piping Inspector

Qualifications:

• Male applicants are preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience as a Piping Inspector or in a similar role within construction, industrial, or engineering projects.
• No minimum educational attainment is required for this position.
• Strong knowledge of piping systems, installation practices, and inspection procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret piping drawings, isometric drawings, and technical specifications.
• Familiarity with piping components, welding processes, and quality documentation.
• Good attention to detail, communication, and reporting skills.
• Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary project teams.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect piping installation activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Inspect piping components, including pipe supports, valves, flanges, fittings, and related assemblies.
• Review inspection reports, material certificates, test records, and quality documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Verify workmanship quality and identify any defects, non-conformities, or deviations requiring corrective action.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, welders, and quality control personnel to resolve inspection-related issues.
• Monitor piping fabrication and installation activities to ensure adherence to approved procedures and standards.
• Conduct inspections during construction, testing, and completion stages of piping works.
• Maintain accurate inspection records, checklists, and quality reports.
• Support quality audits, client inspections, and project handover documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company quality procedures and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements.
