PATIENT CARE ASSISTANT (UNDERBOARD NURSE / HOME CARE NURSE)
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Bachelor’s / College Degree holder in Nursing or similar fields.
- Female applicants are preferred for this role.
- Must be a Registered Nurse with a valid professional license.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience, preferably in homecare, bedside, elderly, or community-based care.
- Knowledge and experience in medication administration, insulin administration, wound care, blood testing, and vital signs monitoring.
- Strong communication, documentation, patient-care, and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, responsible, patient, and capable of working independently.
- Willing to provide flexible and patient-centered care in a home environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide professional home-based nursing care to patients according to physicians’ orders and individualized care plans.
- Administer prescribed medications, including insulin, and monitor patients for medication effectiveness and possible adverse reactions.
- Perform wound care, dressing changes, blood tests, and routine monitoring of vital signs.
- Assist patients with personal care activities, including bathing, grooming, feeding, mobility, and other daily needs.
- Monitor patients’ health conditions and promptly report significant changes to physicians or healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care, progress, medications, treatments, and communication with family members and healthcare providers.
- Educate patients and families on proper medication administration, wound care, hygiene, nutrition, and post-treatment or aftercare procedures.
- Coordinate with doctors and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity and quality of patient care.
- Maintain patient privacy, dignity, safety, and confidentiality at all times.
- Provide compassionate and reliable care while working independently in patients’ homes.
