Ronesans Endustri Tesisleri is seeking a highly experienced Surveyor Equipment Operator to support large-scale construction and industrial projects in Mozambique. The successful candidate will operate precision surveying instruments, conduct field measurements, establish survey control points, and verify site elevations, coordinates, and construction layouts. The role requires extensive surveying experience, particularly in Oil & Gas, LNG, petrochemical, refinery, pipeline, or industrial plant projects, along with proficiency in survey data processing and engineering drawing interpretation.
SURVEYOR EQUIPMENT OPERATOR
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree in Survey Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geomatics, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of surveying experience in large-scale construction projects.
- At least 5 years of experience in Oil & Gas, LNG, petrochemical, refinery, pipeline, or industrial plant projects.
- Proficient in operating Total Station, GPS/GNSS, Digital Level, and Automatic Level equipment.
- Knowledgeable in AutoCAD and survey data processing.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, site plans, coordinates, benchmarks, and survey control systems.
- Strong understanding of surveying methods, construction setting-out, leveling, coordinate calculations, and measurement verification.
- Experience conducting topographic, construction layout, and as-built surveys.
- Ability to collect, process, check, and manage survey data accurately.
- Familiarity with surveying requirements for industrial facilities and large-scale construction projects.
- Good English communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to measurement accuracy and quality standards.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with engineers, construction teams, supervisors, and other survey personnel.
- Knowledge of site safety procedures and safe handling of surveying equipment.
- Physically capable of conducting field surveys in construction and industrial site environments.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain surveying equipment, including Total Stations, GPS/GNSS receivers, Digital Levels, and Automatic Levels.
- Conduct field surveys for large-scale construction, industrial facilities, and infrastructure projects.
- Perform topographic, boundary, setting-out, as-built, and construction layout surveys as required.
- Establish, verify, and maintain survey control points, benchmarks, reference stations, and coordinate systems.
- Carry out precise measurements of distances, angles, elevations, coordinates, and levels.
- Set out foundations, structures, equipment locations, pipelines, roads, and other construction elements according to approved engineering drawings.
- Verify construction locations, alignments, elevations, and dimensions against project specifications.
- Interpret engineering drawings, site plans, coordinates, and survey control information.
- Collect, record, process, and verify survey data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Use AutoCAD and survey data-processing software to review survey information and prepare drawings or related outputs.
- Perform calculations and adjustments required to verify survey measurements and coordinate data.
- Conduct surveys for Oil & Gas, LNG, petrochemical, refinery, pipeline, and industrial plant construction activities.
- Coordinate with civil engineers, construction engineers, site supervisors, contractors, and other survey personnel.
- Provide accurate survey information to support excavation, earthworks, foundation installation, structural erection, and equipment positioning.
- Conduct as-built surveys to confirm completed construction works against approved designs.
- Identify discrepancies between actual site conditions and engineering drawings and report findings to the appropriate supervisor.
- Inspect surveying instruments before use and ensure equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.
- Maintain survey field notes, measurement records, coordinate files, reports, and other required documentation.
- Ensure surveying work complies with project specifications, approved procedures, and established accuracy standards.
- Follow site safety rules and maintain safe working practices while conducting field surveys.
- Report equipment malfunctions, survey errors, site issues, and other concerns that may affect project progress or accuracy.
- Perform other surveying and equipment-related duties assigned by the project manager or supervisor.
