Daeah Engineering & Construction Co. Ltd is seeking an experienced Pipeline Checker to support pipeline construction projects in Mozambique. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting pipeline installation activities, verifying compliance with approved drawings and specifications, and ensuring that all work meets project quality standards prior to commissioning.

PIPE LINE CHECKER

Qualifications:

• Male applicants are preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in pipeline construction, inspection, or a related field.
• No minimum educational attainment is required for this position.
• Strong knowledge of pipeline installation, fit-up, welding preparation, and pre-commissioning activities.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, isometric drawings, and project specifications.
• Familiarity with quality inspection procedures and applicable construction standards.
• Good attention to detail, communication, and reporting skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect pipeline installation activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, and applicable standards.
• Check pipe fit-up, joint preparation, alignment, and material identification before welding operations.
• Verify that welding preparations and installation work meet quality and project requirements.
• Monitor pipeline construction activities to ensure proper workmanship and adherence to approved procedures.
• Inspect completed installations and report any non-conformances or deficiencies requiring corrective action.
• Verify that hydrostatic testing, flushing, cleaning, and other pre-commissioning activities are carried out in accordance with approved procedures.
• Coordinate with supervisors, quality control personnel, and construction teams to resolve inspection-related issues.
• Maintain inspection records, checklists, and daily reports.
• Ensure compliance with company quality management procedures and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements.
• Support project inspections, testing, and turnover activities.
