Kirimana Consultants Limited is seeking experienced Metal Installers to support commercial and industrial construction projects in New Zealand. The successful candidates will be responsible for installing and assembling cable tray systems, framing structures, ducting supports, electrical brackets, and other metal components in accordance with engineering drawings, project specifications, and workplace safety standards. This role requires strong technical skills, precision, and the ability to work independently or as part of a construction team.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the same field.
• Proven experience installing and assembling cable tray systems.
• Experience working with metal framing systems and ducting installations.
• Knowledge of installing electrical brackets, supports, channels, and related metal components.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, work instructions, and construction plans.
• Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and installation equipment.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, metal installation techniques, and quality workmanship.
• Ability to perform installations according to project specifications and workplace safety standards.
• Physically fit and capable of working at heights, in confined spaces, and on active construction sites when required.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

• Install and assemble cable tray systems for electrical and mechanical services.
• Install metal framing systems, supports, brackets, hangers, and ducting components according to project specifications.
• Fit and secure electrical brackets, channels, and other structural metal components.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, layout plans, installation details, and work instructions.
• Measure, mark, cut, drill, and assemble metal materials using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
• Ensure installations are aligned, level, secure, and compliant with quality and safety standards.
• Coordinate with electricians, HVAC technicians, engineers, and site supervisors to ensure efficient project execution.
• Inspect completed installations and make adjustments or repairs as required.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
• Follow workplace health and safety regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Report installation issues, material shortages, or safety concerns to supervisors promptly.
• Perform other installation and construction-related duties as assigned.
