MEP TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:

  • Male applicants are preferred.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience as an MEP Technician or in a related building maintenance role.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • Experience in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining building services and facility equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, and mechanical diagrams.
  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance procedures and building management systems is an advantage.
  • Good understanding of occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Physically fit and capable of performing maintenance work in various environments.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems.
  • Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC equipment, electrical systems, plumbing fixtures, pumps, motors, lighting, and control systems.
  • Monitor the performance of building services and respond promptly to maintenance requests and equipment breakdowns.
  • Conduct routine inspections of MEP equipment to identify faults, wear, and potential safety hazards.
  • Replace defective components and perform repairs to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Read and interpret electrical diagrams, mechanical drawings, plumbing layouts, and technical manuals.
  • Perform testing and commissioning of MEP systems after installation or repair.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, inspection reports, and equipment logs.
  • Coordinate with supervisors, contractors, and other maintenance personnel to complete assigned tasks efficiently.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and spare parts in good working condition.
  • Perform other maintenance and technical duties assigned by management.
