Technical Contracting Company (TCC Kanoo) is looking for experienced Mechanical Technicians to perform inspection, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial mechanical equipment used in oil and gas, petrochemical, utility, and gas-processing facilities. The successful candidate will ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of rotating and static equipment while adhering to company procedures, client specifications, and international safety standards.
MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN
Qualifications:
- Male applicants only.
- Up to 45 years old.
- Recognized Diploma, Technical Certificate, or Trade Qualification in Mechanical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Millwright Work, or an equivalent field.
- Minimum of 5 years of industrial mechanical maintenance experience in oil and gas, petrochemical, utility, or gas-processing industries.
- Strong knowledge of rotating and static equipment maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting.
- Experience maintaining pumps, compressors, turbines, fans, gearboxes, valves, heat exchangers, piping systems, and related industrial equipment.
- Proficient in reading engineering drawings, P&IDs, technical manuals, and maintenance documentation.
- Skilled in using precision measuring tools and mechanical maintenance equipment.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, and equipment condition monitoring.
- Good understanding of industrial safety standards, permit-to-work systems, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and safe maintenance practices.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Physically fit and capable of working in demanding industrial environments.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on industrial mechanical equipment.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, overhaul, and maintain pumps, compressors, turbines, fans, gearboxes, motors, valves, pipelines, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, and other plant equipment.
- Dismantle, inspect, replace, repair, and reassemble mechanical components according to manufacturer specifications.
- Carry out precision alignment of rotating equipment using laser or dial indicator alignment tools.
- Perform vibration monitoring, condition assessment, and basic diagnostic activities to identify equipment faults.
- Conduct flange management, controlled bolting, gasket replacement, and leak prevention activities.
- Assist in rigging, lifting, installation, and commissioning of mechanical equipment during maintenance and shutdown projects.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, isometric drawings, sectional drawings, technical manuals, and maintenance procedures.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, vernier calipers, dial indicators, torque wrenches, and alignment equipment.
- Ensure compliance with permit-to-work systems, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), confined space entry, and other industrial safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, and equipment history documentation.
- Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, planners, and operations personnel to complete maintenance activities efficiently.
- Participate in plant shutdowns, turnarounds, and emergency maintenance activities as required.
- Maintain good housekeeping practices and ensure work areas remain clean and safe.
- Perform other duties assigned by supervisors or management.
