Qumreya Operation and Maintenance Company is seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to install, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment used in a food production manufacturing facility in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will ensure the reliable operation of production machinery by performing preventive and corrective maintenance on conveyors, pumps, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and other mechanical equipment while maintaining high standards of safety, hygiene, and operational efficiency.

MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience as a Mechanical Technician in a food production manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of conveyors, pumps, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems.
• Excellent troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and problem-solving skills.
• Good verbal and written English communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, technical manuals, and maintenance documentation.
• Strong understanding of preventive maintenance programs and mechanical equipment reliability.
• Physically fit and capable of performing maintenance work in industrial production environments.
• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively with production and maintenance teams.
• Willing to work rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, and emergency maintenance schedules when required.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on food production machinery and mechanical equipment.
• Inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical faults to minimize production downtime.
• Install, assemble, test, and commission new machinery and mechanical systems.
• Maintain and repair conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, motors, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, bearings, belts, chains, valves, and other mechanical components.
• Replace worn or defective machine parts and ensure equipment is restored to optimal operating condition.
• Perform machine alignment, lubrication, adjustments, and routine servicing according to maintenance schedules.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, technical specifications, and maintenance procedures.
• Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and productivity.
• Coordinate with production personnel to schedule maintenance activities with minimal disruption to operations.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, repair logs, and spare parts documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company maintenance procedures, food safety standards, and manufacturer recommendations.
• Observe workplace health, safety, environmental, and food hygiene regulations at all times.
• Maintain housekeeping standards within the workshop and production areas.
• Assist in equipment upgrades, modifications, and continuous improvement projects.
• Perform other maintenance-related duties assigned by supervisors.
