Mechanical Technician

Qualifications:

• Practical experience in repairing and maintaining mechanical amusement rides and equipment.
• Experience working in a family entertainment center or amusement park is preferred.
• Good knowledge of mechanical systems, components, tools, and maintenance procedures.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment effectively.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical inspection, maintenance, adjustment, and component replacement.
• Ability to use common mechanical hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment.
• Good understanding of equipment safety and preventive maintenance practices.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to equipment safety and reliability.
• Physically fit and capable of performing hands-on maintenance work.
• Able to work in a fast-paced entertainment environment and respond to equipment breakdowns when required.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, hardworking, safety-conscious, and willing to follow technical instructions and company procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical amusement rides and equipment.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on rides, machines, and mechanical systems.
• Diagnose mechanical faults, malfunctions, unusual noises, vibrations, and equipment performance issues.
• Repair or replace worn, damaged, or defective mechanical components.
• Inspect bearings, gears, chains, belts, shafts, couplings, brakes, wheels, and other mechanical components.
• Perform mechanical adjustments, alignment, lubrication, tightening, and component replacement as required.
• Conduct safety and operational checks before and after maintenance or repairs.
• Assist with the installation, assembly, dismantling, relocation, and commissioning of amusement equipment.
• Test amusement rides and equipment after maintenance to verify proper mechanical operation.
• Monitor equipment condition and identify potential mechanical problems before they result in breakdowns.
• Respond promptly to mechanical breakdowns and equipment malfunctions.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, maintenance activities, and replacement parts.
• Coordinate with supervisors, operators, electricians, electronics technicians, and other maintenance personnel.
• Assist with scheduled maintenance programs and equipment servicing activities.
• Use mechanical hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and workshop equipment safely and correctly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance workshop and work area.
• Follow manufacturer instructions, maintenance procedures, safety standards, and company policies.
• Follow proper lockout/tagout and other applicable safety procedures when performing maintenance work.
• Report serious mechanical defects or safety concerns to supervisors immediately.
• Perform other mechanical maintenance and amusement equipment duties assigned by management.
