Mechanical Engineer

Qualifications:

• Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s / College Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering fields.
• Minimum of 5 years working experience is required.
• Must have at least 5 years of experience working in a shipyard as a Mechanical Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, shipbuilding operations, and industrial engineering processes.
• Ability to perform engineering calculations including strength, flow rate, and applied force calculations.
• Experience in technical negotiations and coordination with customers or clients.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and project documentation.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Proficient in engineering software, technical reporting, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willing to work in shipyard, marine, and industrial project environments.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare rough estimate policies and project plan summaries based on customer inquiries and project requirements.
• Conduct engineering calculations such as strength analysis, flow rate calculations, pressure calculations, and applied force analysis.
• Review technical requirements and participate in technical negotiations with customers and project stakeholders.
• Coordinate with design, production, and engineering teams to ensure project specifications are achieved.
• Analyze mechanical systems, equipment performance, and operational requirements for shipyard projects.
• Prepare technical reports, project documentation, and engineering recommendations.
• Assist in project planning, scheduling, and cost estimation activities.
• Ensure engineering designs and project execution comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company requirements.
• Support troubleshooting and resolution of mechanical and operational issues during project execution.
• Monitor project progress and communicate updates to management and clients when required.
