Aureol Global Connections is seeking experienced Mechanical Engineers (HVAC / Pipework) to support the design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of HVAC and process piping systems for industrial and semiconductor projects in Ireland. The successful candidates will be responsible for managing mechanical engineering activities from design through commissioning and project handover while ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and client requirements.

Mechanical Engineer (HVAC/Pipework)

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent third-level qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in a similar mechanical engineering role.
• Proven experience in HVAC systems and mechanical pipework.
• Experience working with stainless-steel piping systems and interpreting Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
• Semiconductor industry experience is highly preferred.
• Proven experience preparing technical submittals, commissioning documentation, and project handover packages.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project.
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, piping systems, HVAC design, and construction methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Results-driven with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong commitment to quality, safety, and timely project delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Design, coordinate, and oversee the installation of HVAC systems and mechanical pipework for industrial and semiconductor facilities.
• Review engineering drawings, piping layouts, P&IDs, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Prepare technical submittals, material approvals, method statements, and engineering reports.
• Coordinate mechanical installation activities with project managers, contractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Monitor construction progress to ensure compliance with project specifications, schedules, and quality standards.
• Perform engineering calculations and provide technical support for HVAC systems, stainless-steel piping, and mechanical equipment.
• Supervise testing, flushing, pressure testing, commissioning, and system start-up activities.
• Prepare commissioning documentation, punch lists, completion reports, and project handover packages.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and recommend practical engineering solutions during construction and commissioning.
• Ensure all mechanical works comply with applicable engineering standards, health and safety regulations, and client requirements.
• Participate in project meetings, progress reviews, and technical coordination sessions.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, records, and engineering correspondence.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and provide technical guidance to junior engineers where required.
• Perform other mechanical engineering duties assigned by project management.
