MECHANICAL ENGINEER

Qualifications:

  • Possess the expertise to design, build, and manage all aspects of a data center infrastructure, including power, cooling, network, and physical layout, essentially delivering a fully operational facility ready for use (“turnkey”) to the client.
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems pertaining to data centre environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain good customer relationships with other contractors whilst working on sites.

Responsibilities:

  • Designing and managing cooling systems, including air handling units and chilled water loops.
  • Creating the overall data center layout, considering power requirements, cooling systems, cabling, and physical security.
  • Choosing appropriate hardware components like UPS systems, generators, cooling units, and network switches based on client needs.
  • Overseeing the construction process, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project timelines.
  • Verifying the functionality of all systems before handover to the client.
  • Manage relevant client communications.
  • Prepare method statements and risk assessments for construction activities
