We are seeking skilled and experienced Marine Mechanics to join Zamil Shipyards in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidates will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of marine engines, mechanical systems, and shipboard machinery to ensure safe and efficient vessel operation.

Marine Mechanic

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2–3 years of experience as a Marine Mechanic, Marine Technician, or in a related mechanical role in shipyard, offshore, or marine industry
• Strong knowledge of marine engines, propulsion systems, pumps, compressors, and auxiliary equipment
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and mechanical drawings
• Experience in troubleshooting mechanical and hydraulic systems
• Skilled in using mechanical tools, diagnostic equipment, and measuring instruments
• Physically fit and capable of working in shipyard and marine environments
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willing to work in shifting schedules and demanding conditions

Responsibilities:

• Perform installation, maintenance, repair, and overhaul of marine engines and mechanical systems
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults in shipboard equipment and machinery
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on pumps, valves, compressors, and propulsion systems
• Interpret technical drawings, manuals, and specifications for repair and installation work
• Dismantle, inspect, repair, and reassemble mechanical components as required
• Ensure all mechanical systems are operating efficiently and safely
• Assist in dry-docking, repair, and ship maintenance projects
• Follow shipyard safety procedures and environmental regulations at all times
• Coordinate with other technical teams such as electricians and welders during repair works
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work area in proper condition

• Graduate of any four (4) year course or College Level
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
