Machinist I

Qualifications:

• Must have a minimum of 4–6 years of relevant experience as a Machinist or in a related mechanical maintenance position.
• Must have experience working in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Fertilizer Plants, Refineries, Chemical Plants, or similar industrial facilities.
• Must be capable of performing routine maintenance and repair work in the related field.
• Must have practical knowledge of machining processes, machine tools, measuring instruments, and mechanical components.
• Must be able to read and understand technical drawings, measurements, and equipment specifications.
• Experience with industrial maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment is highly advantageous.
• Must be familiar with workplace health, safety, and environmental procedures.
• Must be able to work effectively in an industrial plant and maintenance environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine machining, maintenance, and repair work on mechanical equipment and components.
• Operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, drill presses, grinders, and other workshop equipment as required.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, measurements, specifications, and machining instructions.
• Measure, cut, shape, drill, grind, and machine metal components to required dimensions and tolerances.
• Inspect machined parts and components to ensure they meet required specifications and quality standards.
• Perform routine maintenance and repair work on machinery and mechanical components.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and assist in identifying appropriate repair solutions.
• Maintain machining tools, equipment, and work areas in safe and serviceable condition.
• Follow established maintenance procedures, technical instructions, and industrial safety standards.
• Coordinate with maintenance personnel, mechanics, engineers, and supervisors to complete assigned work safely and efficiently.
• Maintain proper records of completed maintenance, machining, and repair activities.
