Jeddah Cables Company is seeking qualified and experienced Machine Operators to support its cable manufacturing operations in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidates will operate and monitor cable production machinery, particularly Central Stranding (CS) Machines, and assist in the manufacturing of high-voltage cables and building or house wiring cables. Candidates should have relevant experience in a cable manufacturing environment, good technical skills, and a strong commitment to quality and workplace safety.
MACHINE OPERATOR
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of working experience is required.
- Must have experience working with CS Machines (Central Stranding Machines).
- Must have a background in a cable manufacturing company or cable production environment.
- Experience in high-voltage cable manufacturing is required or highly relevant.
- Experience in building or house wiring cable manufacturing is highly relevant.
- Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Others or similar fields.
- Must have a vocational certificate or high school diploma.
- Good knowledge of cable manufacturing processes and machine operation.
- Ability to operate, monitor, adjust, and perform basic maintenance of assigned production machinery.
- Ability to understand production instructions, machine operating procedures, and quality requirements.
- Good attention to detail and ability to identify production defects or machine abnormalities.
- Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good teamwork, discipline, and ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
- Good English communication skills.
- Willingness to follow workplace safety, quality, and production procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor Central Stranding (CS) Machines used in cable manufacturing.
- Set up and prepare assigned machines according to production requirements and approved operating procedures.
- Check machine settings, operating parameters, and production conditions before and during operation.
- Operate machinery used in the production of electrical and power cables.
- Assist in the manufacturing of high-voltage cables according to production specifications.
- Assist in the production of building and house wiring cables.
- Load and position wires, conductors, and other production materials into the assigned machinery.
- Monitor the stranding process to ensure proper alignment, tension, diameter, and consistency of the cable.
- Check finished cable products for visible defects and production irregularities.
- Perform prescribed measurements and basic quality checks during the manufacturing process.
- Identify and report machine abnormalities, cable defects, material problems, and other production issues to the supervisor.
- Make authorized machine adjustments to maintain proper production quality and operating conditions.
- Follow production schedules, work instructions, technical procedures, and quality requirements.
- Maintain proper production records, machine checklists, and other required documentation.
- Conduct routine machine inspections and basic maintenance activities as instructed.
- Keep machines, tools, equipment, and the assigned work area clean and organized.
- Follow proper procedures for handling wires, conductors, cables, and other manufacturing materials.
- Comply with company health and safety procedures and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Coordinate with production supervisors, quality personnel, maintenance technicians, and other machine operators to maintain smooth production.
- Minimize material waste by following proper machine operation, handling, and production procedures.
- Assist with troubleshooting machine and production problems within the scope of assigned responsibilities.
- Perform other cable manufacturing, machine operation, and production-related duties assigned by management.
