We are looking for hardworking and reliable Kitchen Helpers to assist in the daily operations of a busy kitchen. The successful candidate will support chefs and kitchen staff in food preparation, maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards, and help ensure efficient kitchen operations.
KITCHEN HELPER
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience as a Kitchen Helper or in the food service industry.
- Candidates must be at least a High School Graduate.
- Experience working in a commercial kitchen, restaurant, hotel, cafeteria, or catering service is preferred.
- Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques and kitchen hygiene practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods, lift supplies, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Willing to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and overtime when required.
- Strong work ethic, attention to cleanliness, and ability to work well as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking by washing, peeling, cleaning, and cutting vegetables, meat, and other food items.
- Assist chefs and cooks in the preparation of hot and cold dishes according to kitchen requirements.
- Arrange and replenish ingredients and supplies needed for food preparation.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen workstations, utensils, equipment, and food preparation areas.
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment as required.
- Properly store food items and ingredients in accordance with food safety and hygiene standards.
- Dispose of kitchen waste and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist in receiving, checking, and storing food deliveries.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace health and safety regulations.
- Perform other kitchen support duties as assigned by the Head Chef or Kitchen Supervisor.
