Osman Gazi Project is seeking an experienced Instrument Technician (Telecom) for an overseas employment opportunity in Turkey. The successful candidate will support telecommunications and instrumentation maintenance activities in an Oil & Gas project, including equipment inspection, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and maintenance management system documentation.

Instrument Technician (Telecom)

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of relevant Oil & Gas experience.
• Proven experience as an Instrument Technician, Telecom Technician, or related technical position.
• Experience in telecom and instrument maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Knowledge of maintenance practices within Oil & Gas or industrial environments.
• Experience using SAP, Maximo, or similar CMMS platforms.
• Ability to diagnose technical faults and perform corrective maintenance.
• Strong understanding of preventive maintenance procedures.
• Strong commitment to HSE standards and safe working practices.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities:

• Perform installation, inspection, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of telecommunication and instrumentation equipment.
• Diagnose and repair faults affecting telecom and instrument systems.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance according to approved schedules and procedures.
• Inspect equipment and identify potential failures or performance issues.
• Use appropriate testing instruments and diagnostic equipment to locate faults.
• Maintain and troubleshoot communication and control-related equipment and systems.
• Record maintenance activities, equipment conditions, faults, repairs, and spare parts requirements in the CMMS.
• Use SAP, Maximo, or similar computerized maintenance management systems for work orders and maintenance records.
• Assist with equipment commissioning, testing, and functional checks when required.
• Coordinate with engineers, technicians, operations personnel, and other project teams to resolve technical issues.
• Follow approved maintenance procedures, technical specifications, and manufacturer recommendations.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements.
• Maintain tools, testing equipment, and work areas in good condition.
• Report equipment abnormalities, safety concerns, and technical problems to the appropriate supervisor.
• Participate in emergency response, shutdown, or other maintenance activities when required.
• Support continuous improvement of equipment reliability and maintenance practices.
