SAIPEM / Osman Gazi Project is seeking an experienced Instrument Technician Supervisor – Topside for an overseas employment opportunity at Filyos Port, Turkey. The successful candidate will supervise and coordinate instrumentation maintenance activities while ensuring reliable operation of topside instrumentation and control systems and strict compliance with HSE requirements.

INSTRUMENT TECHNICIAN SUPERVISOR – TOPSIDE

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as an Instrument Technician Supervisor – Topside or in a similar supervisory position.
• Strong expertise in instrumentation and control system maintenance.
• Proven experience in instrumentation troubleshooting, calibration, repair, inspection, and preventive maintenance.
• Knowledge of CMMS platforms, including SAP, Maximo, Datastream, or similar systems.
• Experience in offshore, Oil & Gas, or industrial plant environments.
• Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
• Ability to supervise technicians and effectively allocate maintenance activities.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong commitment to HSE standards and safe work practices.
• Ability to work effectively with engineers, operations teams, maintenance personnel, and project management.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities for topside instrumentation systems and equipment.
• Lead technicians in inspecting, testing, calibrating, troubleshooting, and repairing instrumentation equipment.
• Diagnose complex instrumentation faults and determine appropriate corrective actions.
• Supervise maintenance of control, measurement, monitoring, and instrumentation systems.
• Conduct routine inspections and ensure equipment abnormalities and potential failures are identified and addressed promptly.
• Oversee functional testing and verification of instruments following maintenance or repairs.
• Ensure technicians use appropriate testing instruments, tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and correctly.
• Review and maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, equipment faults, repairs, and operational status.
• Manage maintenance work orders and records through CMMS platforms such as SAP, Maximo, Datastream, or similar systems.
• Monitor preventive maintenance schedules and ensure assigned work is completed within required timelines.
• Coordinate with engineers, operations personnel, supervisors, and other maintenance disciplines.
• Support commissioning, shutdown, inspection, turnaround, and maintenance activities when required.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with project specifications, technical procedures, and manufacturer recommendations.
• Monitor the condition and availability of tools, instruments, testing equipment, and spare parts.
• Identify equipment defects, technical issues, and safety hazards and ensure appropriate action is taken.
• Provide technical guidance and support to Instrument Technicians and other maintenance personnel.
• Allocate work, monitor team performance, and ensure maintenance activities are completed efficiently.
• Promote good communication and teamwork among maintenance and operations teams.
• Ensure all work complies with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards and safe working practices.
• Participate in emergency response, shutdown, and other critical project maintenance activities as required.
