Electrical Technician

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience as an Electrical Technician, preferably in a food production or manufacturing environment.
• Candidates must possess a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field.
• A Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, PLCs, automation equipment, and production machinery.
• Proficient in troubleshooting and maintaining VFD drives, converters, HMIs, AC/DC motors, servo motors, and servo drives.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical circuit diagrams, wiring schematics, and technical documentation.
• Excellent fault-finding, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Good verbal and written English communication skills.
• Strong attention to safety, quality, and preventive maintenance practices.

Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment used in food production and processing facilities.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, including extruders, fryers, seasoning systems, distribution systems, dryers, conveyors, mixers, ovens, and packaging machinery.
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems for utility equipment such as boilers, chillers, and air compressors.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical faults to minimize equipment downtime and maintain continuous production.
• Troubleshoot and maintain Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), converters, Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs), AC/DC motors, servo motors, and servo drives.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, circuit diagrams, wiring layouts, and technical manuals.
• Replace and repair electrical components, control panels, wiring, sensors, switches, relays, breakers, and other electrical devices.
• Assist in maintaining and troubleshooting PLC-controlled systems and industrial automation equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to improve equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, repair logs, and equipment documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety regulations, electrical codes, and workplace health and safety standards.
• Coordinate with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to support efficient plant operations.
• Perform other related duties assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or management.
