Volvo Truck Technician

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in truck manufacturing, truck maintenance, commercial vehicle repair, or a related industry.
• Extensive experience working with European truck brands, particularly Volvo, DAF, Iveco, MAN, Mercedes-Benz, Renault, or Scania.
• Proven experience in truck and trailer maintenance and repair.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic truck systems.
• Skilled in electrical and electronic diagnostics.
• Experience repairing ABS and EBS braking systems.
• Knowledge of engine and gearbox maintenance and repair.
• Experience with truck brakes, suspension, pneumatic systems, and related components.
• Ability to use vehicle diagnostic equipment and technical tools.
• Technical degree in Electromechanics or certification as a Truck Technician is required.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of European trucks and trailers.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Service and repair trucks from European brands such as DAF, Iveco, MAN, Mercedes-Benz, Renault, Scania, and Volvo.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic faults using appropriate diagnostic equipment.
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair ABS and EBS brake systems.
• Perform repairs and maintenance on braking, suspension, steering, and pneumatic systems.
• Maintain and repair truck engines, gearboxes, drivetrains, and related components.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and ensure vehicles remain safe and roadworthy.
• Prepare trucks and trailers for inspections and ensure required repairs are completed.
• Inspect tools, workshop equipment, and diagnostic equipment to ensure they are in proper working condition.
• Replace and maintain truck tires when required.
• Perform repairs and maintenance on trailer tarpaulins and related components.
• Identify mechanical and technical problems and determine appropriate repair solutions.
• Carry out repair work according to manufacturer specifications and workshop procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, servicing, and replacement parts.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized workshop.
• Work independently and cooperate with other technicians and workshop personnel.
