MILLING MACHINE OPERATOR

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 1 year of relevant working experience is required.
• No minimum educational attainment is required for this position.
• Experience operating or working with milling machines is preferred.
• Knowledge of hexahedral processing and flat-surface cutting operations.
• Knowledge of different cutting operations, workpiece materials, and appropriate cutting tools.
• Ability to properly mount and secure cutting tools and workpieces.
• Ability to perform assembly and adjustment of processed parts and units.
• Good understanding of basic machine operation, machining procedures, and workplace safety.
• Ability to inspect machinery, safety equipment, and surrounding work areas for potential hazards.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when performing machining and inspection work.
• Ability to follow technical instructions, operating procedures, and safety requirements.
• Physically capable of performing machining and production duties, including handling workpieces and tools.
• Responsible and safety-conscious when operating machinery.
• Willingness to undergo required safety and health training.
• Reliable, hardworking, disciplined, and able to work effectively as part of a production team.

Responsibilities:

• Operate milling machines to perform assigned machining and cutting operations.
• Perform hexahedral processing work and cutting operations on flat surfaces according to specifications.
• Select and use appropriate cutting tools based on the type of cutting operation and workpiece material.
• Mount, secure, and properly position cutting tools and workpieces on milling machines.
• Set up milling machines and adjust machine settings as required for the assigned operation.
• Perform machining operations accurately while maintaining required dimensions and specifications.
• Inspect processed parts to ensure accuracy, quality, and conformity with requirements.
• Assemble processed parts and units and perform necessary adjustments after machining.
• Check milling machines and surrounding work areas before and during operations to identify potential safety hazards.
• Conduct safety checks of machines, equipment, protective devices, and other workplace safety equipment.
• Participate in required safety and health education upon new employment and comply with workplace safety instructions.
• Follow established operating procedures and safety practices when using milling machines and cutting tools.
• Handle workpieces, tools, and machining equipment carefully to prevent damage or injury.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and keep the machining area clean and organized.
• Report machine abnormalities, equipment damage, unsafe conditions, or machining problems to the supervisor.
• Perform routine checks and basic maintenance activities as required to keep machines and tools in good working condition.
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all workplace health and safety requirements.
• Minimize material waste through proper machine operation, tool selection, and workpiece handling.
• Perform other machining, assembly, adjustment, and production duties assigned by management.
