HVAC TECHNICIAN
Qualifications:
- Male, 24–40 years old.
- BS Industrial Technology major in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
- Experience in installing, commissioning, maintaining, and troubleshooting VRF systems and controls.
- Experience working with chillers, pumps, cooling towers, AHUs, FCUs, and related HVAC equipment.
- Knowledge of copper pipe installation, brazing, nitrogen pressure testing, vacuuming, leak testing, and refrigerant charging.
- Able to accurately measure pressure, temperature, and electrical current.
- Knowledge and experience in diagnosing mechanical, refrigeration, electrical, and control-system faults.
- Experience performing preventive maintenance, equipment cleaning, inspection, and component replacement.
- Good understanding of HVAC system operation, refrigeration cycles, controls, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Ability to read and follow HVAC drawings, equipment manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, and technical skills.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to equipment reliability and safety.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Physically capable of performing HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair work in project-site environments.
Responsibilities:
- Install, commission, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC and air-conditioning systems.
- Install and service VRF systems and controls according to approved drawings and manufacturer requirements.
- Perform installation, testing, and commissioning of VRF indoor and outdoor units, refrigerant piping, controls, and associated components.
- Inspect and maintain chillers, pumps, cooling towers, AHUs, FCUs, and related HVAC equipment.
- Install and connect copper refrigerant piping according to system specifications.
- Perform proper copper pipe brazing using appropriate techniques and equipment.
- Conduct nitrogen pressure testing of refrigerant piping systems to identify potential leaks.
- Perform system evacuation and vacuuming before refrigerant charging.
- Conduct leak testing and identify refrigerant leaks in piping, connections, valves, coils, and other components.
- Charge refrigerant according to equipment specifications and required operating conditions.
- Measure and record refrigerant pressure, system temperature, and electrical current during testing and troubleshooting.
- Check compressors, motors, fans, pumps, valves, sensors, controls, coils, filters, and other HVAC components.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, refrigeration, electrical, and control-system faults.
- Identify abnormal operating conditions and determine appropriate corrective actions.
- Perform preventive maintenance according to established schedules and manufacturer recommendations.
- Clean evaporator and condenser coils, filters, drain pans, fans, and other HVAC components.
- Inspect electrical connections, wiring, contactors, capacitors, motors, and control components.
- Replace defective or worn components and restore equipment to proper operating condition.
- Perform functional testing after repairs, component replacement, and maintenance activities.
- Monitor HVAC system performance and recommend corrective action when efficiency or operating conditions are outside acceptable limits.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance, repairs, testing, refrigerant charging, and equipment conditions.
- Follow proper refrigerant handling, environmental, electrical, and workplace safety procedures.
- Use appropriate diagnostic instruments, tools, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, electricians, plumbers, and other technical personnel during installation and commissioning.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
- Perform other HVAC installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair duties assigned by management.
