HOLLOW BLOCK CONCRETE MACHINE OPERATOR

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience is required.
  • Experience operating concrete block, hollow block, hydraulic press, or similar production machinery is an advantage.
  • No minimum educational attainment is required.
  • Physically fit and capable of performing machine operation, stacking, and other production-related duties.
  • Willing to work in a manufacturing and production environment.
  • Able to follow operating, maintenance, safety, and quality procedures.
  • Male applicants are preferred for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate hollow block and concrete brick-making machinery to produce interlocking concrete blocks according to required specifications.
  • Feed the prepared concrete mix into the hydraulic press and operate the machine cycle to form the required interlocking shape.
  • Monitor the machine during operation and ensure that blocks are properly formed and meet production requirements.
  • Regularly clean and lubricate molds and machine components to maintain proper operation and prevent damage.
  • Use appropriate air tools and proper maintenance procedures when cleaning molds, avoiding heavy striking that may damage metal components.
  • Stack compressed concrete blocks properly after production.
  • Water and cure the compressed blocks according to established procedures to ensure proper cement setting and strength.
  • Inspect finished blocks for defects, proper shape, and quality.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working area and follow workplace safety procedures.
  • Report machine problems, maintenance requirements, or production issues to the supervisor.
