Turbo Staff Limited is seeking skilled and experienced Heavy Machine Operators to support civil construction projects in New Zealand. The successful candidate will operate heavy machinery used in earthworks, roading, drainage, and infrastructure projects while ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality operations.

Heavy Machine Operator (Civil Construction)

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of relevant overseas work experience as a Heavy Machine Operator.
• Proven track record of overseas employment with supporting documents
• Very good verbal and written English communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Proven experience in civil construction projects (not primarily earthworks or mining).
• Skilled in operating excavators, graders, loaders, rollers, bulldozers, and skid steers.
• Ability to safely operate machinery in drainage, roading, and infrastructure environments.
• Strong understanding of workplace safety practices and construction procedures.
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy civil construction machinery, including excavators, loaders, bulldozers, graders, rollers, and skid steers.
• Perform excavation, trenching, backfilling, material handling, and site preparation activities.
• Operate excavators ranging from 5T to 30T and other heavy machinery ranging from 4T to 30T.
• Work safely around trench shields, drainage systems, pipe installation, trenching, and backfilling operations.
• Carry out daily pre-start inspections and ensure machinery is maintained in safe working condition.
• Follow project plans, site instructions, and safety procedures.
• Assist with civil construction activities including roading, drainage, and infrastructure development.
• Maintain productivity while ensuring quality workmanship and safe equipment operation.
• Report equipment issues, hazards, or site concerns to supervisors promptly.
