Franklin Smith Limited is seeking experienced Duct Installers / Fabricators to join its team in New Zealand. The successful candidates will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing HVAC ductwork systems for commercial and industrial projects while ensuring compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, and workplace safety regulations.

Duct Installer / Fabricator

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of overseas experience as a Duct Installer / Fabricator or in a similar role.
• Strong technical knowledge and practical trade skills in HVAC duct fabrication and installation.
• Ability to read and interpret technical plans, blueprints, specifications, and safety procedures.
• Good spoken and written English communication skills.
• Capable of working independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Safety-conscious, reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to producing high-quality workmanship.

Responsibilities:

• Fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal ductwork and HVAC ventilation systems.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and project specifications.
• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble duct components using appropriate tools and fabrication equipment.
• Install duct systems, fittings, supports, dampers, and related accessories according to project requirements.
• Inspect completed installations to ensure proper fit, alignment, and system performance.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times.
• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and other trades to ensure timely project completion.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
