Franklin Smith Limited is seeking experienced Pipe Fitters to join its team in New Zealand. The successful candidates will be responsible for installing, assembling, maintaining, and repairing piping systems used in commercial and industrial projects while ensuring compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, and workplace safety regulations.

Pipe Fitter

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of overseas experience as a Pipe Fitter or in a similar role.
• Strong technical knowledge and practical trade skills in pipe fitting and installation.
• Ability to read and interpret technical plans, blueprints, specifications, and safety procedures.
• Good spoken and written English communication skills.
• Capable of working independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Safety-conscious, reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to producing high-quality workmanship.

Responsibilities:

• Install, assemble, align, and secure piping systems, fittings, valves, and related components.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, piping layouts, and project specifications.
• Measure, cut, thread, bend, and fit pipes using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Inspect piping systems for leaks, defects, and proper alignment before commissioning.
• Perform maintenance, repair, and replacement of damaged or worn piping components.
• Follow technical procedures, quality standards, and workplace health and safety regulations.
• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, welders, and other trades to ensure efficient project completion.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
