HEAVY EQUIPMENT MECHANIC
Qualifications:
- Male applicants preferred
- Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair
- No minimum educational attainment required
- Experience in servicing and repairing heavy equipment, machinery, or industrial vehicles
- Strong knowledge of engines, transmissions, braking systems, and ignition systems
- Ability to perform minor body repairs and mechanical troubleshooting
- Experience working with equipment dealerships or specialized machinery service providers is an advantage
- Good technical understanding of mechanical systems and repair procedures
- Ability to work under minimal supervision and follow safety standards
Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance, repair, and servicing of heavy equipment and machinery
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system faults
- Repair and replace engines, transmissions, brakes, and ignition components
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance checks
- Perform minor body repairs and mechanical adjustments as needed
- Follow manufacturer specifications and technical manuals during repair work
- Ensure equipment is safe, operational, and compliant with industry standards
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, servicing, and parts used
- Support workshop operations and assist senior mechanics when required
- Adhere to workplace safety procedures and environmental guidelines
