HAIRDRESSER

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years of working experience as a Hairdresser or in a similar position.
• Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Others or a similar field.
• Female applicants are preferred for this role.
• Knowledge and practical experience in hair cutting, hairstyling, and hair coloring.
• Ability to assess clients’ hair type and recommend appropriate hairstyles and treatments.
• Knowledge of proper hair coloring procedures and safety precautions.
• Ability to identify and inquire about possible hair dye sensitivities or allergies.
• Skilled in using various hairstyling tools and equipment.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Creative, detail-oriented, and able to understand and follow client specifications.
• Professional, hygienic, and courteous when dealing with clients.

Responsibilities:

• Consult with clients to determine their hairstyling needs, preferences, and specifications.
• Advise clients on suitable haircuts, hairstyles, and hair colors based on their physical features, hair type, and preferences.
• Perform haircuts, trimming, styling, and other hairdressing services according to client requirements.
• Provide various hair coloring treatments while considering the client’s desired color and hair condition.
• Inquire about possible hair dye sensitivities and allergies before performing hair coloring services.
• Assess hair and scalp condition and recommend appropriate hair care and styling options.
• Use professional hairstyling tools and equipment, including hair straighteners, curling irons, rollers, hairdryers, and hot combs.
• Style clients’ hair according to their requested look and specifications.
• Maintain proper hygiene and sanitation of hairdressing tools, equipment, and work areas.
• Handle hair care products and styling equipment safely and appropriately.
• Provide professional and courteous customer service throughout each appointment.
• Keep updated with current hairstyling techniques, trends, and hair care practices.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming salon environment.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
