HAIRDRESSER
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of working experience as a Hairdresser or in a similar position.
- Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Others or a similar field.
- Female applicants are preferred for this role.
- Knowledge and practical experience in hair cutting, hairstyling, and hair coloring.
- Ability to assess clients’ hair type and recommend appropriate hairstyles and treatments.
- Knowledge of proper hair coloring procedures and safety precautions.
- Ability to identify and inquire about possible hair dye sensitivities or allergies.
- Skilled in using various hairstyling tools and equipment.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Creative, detail-oriented, and able to understand and follow client specifications.
- Professional, hygienic, and courteous when dealing with clients.
Responsibilities:
- Consult with clients to determine their hairstyling needs, preferences, and specifications.
- Advise clients on suitable haircuts, hairstyles, and hair colors based on their physical features, hair type, and preferences.
- Perform haircuts, trimming, styling, and other hairdressing services according to client requirements.
- Provide various hair coloring treatments while considering the client’s desired color and hair condition.
- Inquire about possible hair dye sensitivities and allergies before performing hair coloring services.
- Assess hair and scalp condition and recommend appropriate hair care and styling options.
- Use professional hairstyling tools and equipment, including hair straighteners, curling irons, rollers, hairdryers, and hot combs.
- Style clients’ hair according to their requested look and specifications.
- Maintain proper hygiene and sanitation of hairdressing tools, equipment, and work areas.
- Handle hair care products and styling equipment safely and appropriately.
- Provide professional and courteous customer service throughout each appointment.
- Keep updated with current hairstyling techniques, trends, and hair care practices.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming salon environment.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
