FRUIT CARVER
Qualifications:
- Minimum 7 years of working experience as a Fruit Carver or related hospitality role
- Holder of a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate in Hospitality, Tourism Management, or related field
- Diploma in Hospitality is preferred
- Extensive experience in fruit carving and ice carving
- Fluent in English
- Strong understanding of color harmony, composition, and visual presentation
- High level of hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight event deadlines
- Creative mindset with strong artistic and design abilities
- Skilled in the use and maintenance of specialized carving tools, knives, and molds
Responsibilities:
- Transform fruits, vegetables, and ice into intricate decorative sculptures, centerpieces, and artistic displays.
- Design and create visually appealing carvings for hotels, restaurants, banquets, weddings, and special events.
- Utilize specialized carving tools, knives, and molds to produce detailed and professional artwork.
- Prepare and arrange decorative displays according to event themes and client requirements.
- Ensure all carved products meet quality, presentation, and food safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper storage of carving tools, equipment, and work areas.
- Collaborate with chefs, banquet teams, and event coordinators to enhance food presentation and event aesthetics.
- Develop creative carving concepts and continuously improve artistic techniques.
- Manage carving projects efficiently while meeting strict deadlines and event schedules.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior staff when required.
