Floor Finisher (Resin & Epoxy Specialist)
As a Floor Finisher, you will be responsible for installing high-quality resin, epoxy, and specialty floor coating systems across commercial and industrial sites. The role requires precision, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to deliver durable, compliant, and visually excellent flooring finishes.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience in resin flooring or a directly related trade, with hands-on expertise in installing epoxy, polyaspartic/polyurea, MMA, and polyurethane systems.
- Strong knowledge of substrate preparation, including proper use of grinders, shot-blasters, mixing equipment, and installation of epoxy screeds, epoxy coving, and PU-Cement systems.
- Ability to read and interpret project specifications, technical drawings, and installation procedures with close attention to detail and strong site problem-solving skills.
- Experience working on commercial and industrial flooring projects; background in Mechanically Polished Concrete (MPC), micro-cements, and Polished Concrete Overlays (PCO) is a significant advantage.
- Good English communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare concrete substrates through grinding, shot-blasting, patching, and moisture testing
- Install epoxy, polyurethane (PU), polyaspartic, polyurea, and MMA flooring systems
- Apply epoxy screeds, epoxy coving, and PU-cement systems according to specifications
- Mix and apply coatings using rollers, squeegees, trowels, and specialized equipment
- Perform crack repairs, levelling, and surface corrections before coating application
- Read and interpret technical drawings, project specifications, and safety standards
- Ensure compliance with Australian WHS and quality standards
- Maintain tools, equipment, and ensure clean, organized work areass
