Senior Vinyl Floor Installer

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Able to provide the required employment and qualification documents.
  • Proven experience installing commercial sheet vinyl, safety flooring, and wet-area flooring systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
  • Ability to accurately calculate flooring material requirements.
  • Proficient in English communication.
  • Strong knowledge of vinyl flooring installation methods, subfloor preparation, and finishing techniques.
  • Ability to use flooring installation tools and equipment safely.
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to workmanship quality.
  • Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with other construction personnel.

Responsibilities:

  • Install commercial sheet vinyl, safety flooring, and wet-area flooring systems in accordance with project specifications.
  • Inspect and prepare subfloors to ensure they are clean, dry, level, and suitable for flooring installation.
  • Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
  • Measure work areas, calculate material requirements, and minimize material wastage.
  • Accurately cut, position, fit, and secure vinyl flooring materials.
  • Apply appropriate adhesives and installation techniques according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Heat-weld vinyl flooring seams where required to achieve durable, hygienic, and water-resistant finishes.
  • Install flooring in wet areas and other specialized environments in accordance with the specified system requirements.
  • Inspect completed installations for defects, uneven surfaces, gaps, and other quality issues.
  • Identify and resolve installation problems within the scope of the role.
  • Use flooring tools, equipment, and materials safely and correctly.
  • Coordinate with site supervisors, builders, and other trades to meet project schedules.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area and comply with applicable workplace health and safety requirements.
  • Ensure all work meets the required quality standards and project specifications.
