Engine Mechanic
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be at least a High School Graduate.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
- Must possess a valid TESDA Certificate.
- Proven experience in engine maintenance, mechanical repair, machinery maintenance, or related industrial operations.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and engine components.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical problems and identify the causes of equipment failures.
- Skilled in using common hand tools and power tools for mechanical maintenance and repair.
- Ability to dismantle, inspect, repair, replace, and reassemble mechanical components.
- Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance procedures.
- Ability to perform mechanical inspection, adjustment, testing, and basic equipment installation.
- Good understanding of safe work practices when working with machinery and mechanical equipment.
- Ability to read and follow technical instructions, maintenance procedures, and equipment manuals.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Physically fit and capable of performing manual mechanical work in an industrial environment.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with supervisors and other maintenance personnel.
- Reliable, hardworking, disciplined, and safety-conscious.
- Willingness to work in drilling, production, or other industrial operating environments as required.
Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of various types of machinery, engines, and mechanical equipment used in drilling and production operations.
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure equipment remains safe, reliable, and operational.
- Inspect engines, machinery, mechanical components, and equipment for signs of wear, damage, leaks, abnormal noise, or other problems.
- Diagnose mechanical faults and determine the appropriate repair or maintenance procedures.
- Dismantle and reassemble engines, machinery, and mechanical components as required for inspection and repair.
- Repair or replace defective, worn, or damaged mechanical parts and components.
- Perform engine servicing and maintenance according to established procedures and manufacturer recommendations.
- Check and maintain lubrication, cooling, fuel, air, and other engine-related systems.
- Assist with the installation, alignment, adjustment, and commissioning of mechanical equipment.
- Use appropriate hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and mechanical equipment safely and effectively.
- Perform mechanical adjustments, component replacement, cleaning, and basic equipment restoration.
- Conduct functional and operational checks after repairs to confirm that machinery is working properly.
- Identify unusual equipment conditions and promptly report major defects or repair requirements to the supervisor.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, repairs, replaced parts, and equipment conditions.
- Coordinate with supervisors, operators, engineers, and other maintenance personnel to minimize equipment downtime.
- Follow preventive maintenance schedules and ensure assigned maintenance tasks are completed on time.
- Maintain tools, equipment, spare parts, and work areas in clean and organized condition.
- Follow established mechanical maintenance procedures, technical instructions, and company policies.
- Comply with workplace health and safety requirements when performing maintenance, repair, and installation activities.
- Properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safe work practices.
- Assist in emergency breakdown repairs and other urgent mechanical maintenance activities.
- Perform other engine mechanic, equipment maintenance, and mechanical duties assigned by management.
