DAEWOO E&C CO., LTD. is seeking experienced Hydraulic Maintenance Technicians to support the operation and maintenance of electro-hydraulic cranes and hydraulic equipment in Mozambique. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating heavy lifting equipment, conducting preventive maintenance, and ensuring all hydraulic systems function safely and efficiently.

HYDRAULIC (MAINTENANCE)

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in hydraulic equipment maintenance or a similar role.
  • Must be at least a high school graduate.
  • Male applicants are preferred for this role.
  • Must possess a valid TESDA NC II Certificate relevant to the trade.
  • Experience operating and maintaining electro-hydraulic cranes and other heavy hydraulic equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair techniques.
  • Ability to inspect and maintain wire ropes, sheaves, hydraulic components, load indicators, limit switches, and crane safety systems.
  • Knowledge of safe lifting operations and heavy equipment maintenance procedures.
  • Physically fit and able to work in demanding industrial and construction environments.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety, quality, and preventive maintenance practices.
  • Willing to work in Mozambique and comply with company policies and project safety requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate electro-hydraulic cranes to load, unload, transport, and stack heavy tubular pipes, machinery, fuel baskets, and other equipment.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance inspections on hydraulic cranes and related equipment.
  • Check and maintain hydraulic fluid levels, lubricate wire ropes and sheaves, and inspect boom pins, pulleys, and other mechanical components.
  • Inspect and verify the proper operation of limit switches, load indicators, safety devices, and crane control systems.
  • Diagnose hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical faults and perform repairs or coordinate corrective maintenance when required.
  • Replace worn or defective hydraulic hoses, seals, valves, cylinders, pumps, and other system components.
  • Conduct functional testing after maintenance and repairs to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, inspection reports, and service records.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company procedures, manufacturer recommendations, and workplace safety standards.
  • Coordinate with supervisors, operators, and maintenance personnel to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas, tools, and maintenance equipment.
  • Perform other maintenance and equipment support duties as assigned.
