DAEWOO E&C CO., LTD. is seeking experienced Engine Maintenance Technicians to maintain, repair, and install mechanical equipment used in drilling, production, and other industrial operations in Mozambique. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of engines and mechanical systems through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and timely repairs.

ENGINE (MAINTENANCE)

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in engine or mechanical maintenance.
• Must be at least a high school graduate.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.
• Must possess a valid TESDA Certificate relevant to mechanical or engine maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, engines, pumps, compressors, generators, and industrial machinery.
• Proven experience in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical equipment used in industrial, drilling, or production environments.
• Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and mechanical diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, maintenance procedures, and equipment specifications.
• Physically fit and capable of working in demanding industrial and construction environments.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety, quality, and preventive maintenance practices.
• Willing to work in Mozambique and comply with company policies and project safety requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on engines, mechanical equipment, and machinery used in drilling, production, and industrial operations.
• Inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel and gasoline engines, power units, pumps, compressors, generators, and other mechanical equipment.
• Install, assemble, and commission engines and related mechanical systems according to manufacturer specifications.
• Dismantle, repair, replace, and reassemble defective engine and mechanical components.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify wear, leaks, vibration, overheating, and other potential equipment failures.
• Perform engine servicing, including oil changes, filter replacement, lubrication, cooling system maintenance, and component adjustments.
• Use hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and diagnostic equipment to complete maintenance tasks.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, and equipment service logs.
• Coordinate with supervisors and operations personnel to minimize equipment downtime and ensure efficient maintenance scheduling.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company procedures, manufacturer recommendations, and workplace health and safety regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper storage of tools, spare parts, and maintenance work areas.
• Perform other mechanical maintenance duties as assigned.
